pittsburgh landscapes

Downtown Pittsburgh is compact and full of European-like structures. It is the last great north-eastern city before the sprawling, flat mid-west.

Downtown is defined by rivers and the Duquesne bluff. Within this small land-plot the industrialist of the 1900's built their corporate headquarters. At one time, Pittsburgh had the third largest number of corporate headquarters in the country.

In the middle of downtown is this modern sculpture of a human being being born. His arms outstretched breaking the protective womb.

Three of the images are of Highland Park. The park houses three massive reservoirs which contain the city's drinking water. The entrance to the park is European in scope and style with its columns and bronze figures.
